We welcome you to join the Australian AAC community at AGOSCI 2019 Perth.  

Did you know that there are 1.2 million people in Australia with a communication disability?* It is important for people with complex communication needs to connect with family, community, highly skilled support people, allied health professionals and educators to meet their communication goals. The 2019 AGOSCI Conference will provide an inclusive forum for this collaboration and discussion to occur.

AGOSCI is pleased to welcome delegates to sunny Western Australia for the 14th Biennial AGOSCI 2019 Conference – Building Connections and Changing PrAACtice at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. Delegates will have the opportunity to network, share research and influence practices that have led, or will lead, to better and more equitable outcomes and inclusion for people with complex communication needs.


AGOSCI is an inclusive group interested in enhancing the participation of all people with complex communication needs. AGOSCI also aims to build the capacity of society to achieve our vision that all people with complex communication needs participate fully in all aspects of life.

AGOSCI’s membership includes individuals with complex communication needs, family and community members, teachers, speech pathologists and other professionals.

AGOSCI Conferences are unique in the Australian field of AAC and attract delegates from all over the world- around Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, Europe and other Asia- Pacific neighbours.

The AGOSCI 14th Biennial Conference is expected to attract 400 delegates who wish to share, learn and talk about issues relating to complex communication needs, augmentative and alternative communication, and mealtime and swallowing issues.
